“I enjoyed reading the essay because it was very unique. Personally, I think that to be able to write at that level is a long journey but soon, I hope to be able to write like that or close to it. Being exposed to new examples was also an eyeopener to me because I think they deserve to be brought out and shared and utilised. They are incredibly apt examples once you know how to extract the relevant features.”

“The content bulking (examples) that the tutor went through were very insightful and added a new layer of analysis for me. As a whole, the class inspired greater meta thinking, more than I am exposed to in my classes (such as how the mass media may be a birth of people's perceptions, and that alone, it is completely harmless. So it is ironically alarming that it is bemoaned by many. I see a similar analysis in being open minded that is implied in the conclusion that close-mindedness also acts as a catalyst for oppression and that being open minded is crucial for discourse.”

It was an eye-opening experience because the model essay was not was I was used to seeing (the generic ones that sound very awkward and boring) but this essay was very rich, full of flavour and fluid.”
